Today when we look at private jets from Grumman we tend to think of the G-IV or newer. But in a bygone era there used to be a turboprop, the Grumman Gulfstream G159.
The Grumman Gulfstream I (company designation G-159) is a twin-turboprop business aircraft. It first flew on August 14, 1958.
I believe that most people aren't aware of the fact it used to exist. if they are, they become too pre-occupied with the newer gulfstream -IV and V and don't care nor believe in it much!
Its a cute and divisive kind of plane, its sitting in a list of Grumman made private planes and is the only one that is turboprop. The rest are jets.
Lets not forget this aircraft and make sure ones get into museums. Good luck getting this out of the trap of being forgotten or close-to.
